Eldon Richard "Frog" Carroll, 64, of South Salem, died Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Adena Greenfield Medical Center.
He served in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War. He was employed with Thompson's Electric Consumer (Old RCA) in Circleville for 34 years. He was then employed at New Sabina for 3 years.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley (Swift) Carroll, whom he married Aug. 24, 1985; two sons, Duane (fiancée Beth Countryman) Carroll and Jason Carroll, both of Chillicothe; one daughter, Sherrie (Wynn) Johns of Chillicothe; four grandchildren, Alex Johns, Makayla Carroll, Sierra Carroll and Dylan Carroll; two brothers, Gerald Carroll and Darrell Carroll, both of Chillicothe; several nieces and nephews; and two special pets, Sarah and Abby.
He was preceded in death by both parents and his father-in-law Homer Swift.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Pastor Coyt Carroll, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Frankfort.
A visitation will be held 5-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with veterans appreciation services to be held at 8 p.m.
