Donna Nelle Parshall, 87, of Hillsboro, died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012 at Heartland of Hillsboro.

She was born April 30, 1925 in Bridges, Ohio, the daughter of the late Otto G. and Alma J. Smith Dodds.

Mrs. Parshall had served for several years as the Highland County Motor Vehicles Deputy Registrar, was a sales associate for the Layman Real Estate Agency and had been a volunteer for Operation Christmas Child for many years.

She is survived by one daughter, Becky Lynne (James) Basford of Hillsboro; one granddaughter, Molly Kathleen Basford of Hillsboro; a stepdaughter, Mary Eleanor (Kenny) Kier of Hillsboro; special daughter, Andrea Zink (John) Holt of Hillsboro; one sister, Polly Ellison of Dayton; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Eloise Henry and Alice Dodds; one brother, Robert Dodds; and brothers-in-law, John Henry and James Ellison.

Graveside services were held 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27 at the Hardin’s Creek Cemetery at Bridges. There was no visitation.
