DeWayne E. Stratton "Rock"
DeWayne E. Stratton, "Rock," 49, of Hillsboro, passed away Monday, Oct. 7, 2013 surrounded by his family.
He was born Jan. 14, 1964 to the late David and Florene Stratton.
He was also preceded in death by his children’s mother, Diane L. Stratton.
He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Vicki L. Stratton; son, Doug (Mandy) Stratton I; daughters, DeLanna (Jason) Saylor and Tracy (JL) Divers; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Theresa (Steve) Elliott; brothers, Rick Stratton, David (Peggy) Stratton, Roger (Mary) Stratton, Bill Stratton and Randy (Jamie) Stratton; aunt, Georgeanna (Mike) May; mother-in-law, Valerie Smrcina and father-in-law, Bob Smrcina, Sr.; sisters-in-law, Joanne Smrcina, Tina (Tony) Larson; brother-in-law, Bob (Tammy) Smrcina, Jr.; beloved pets, Jake, Chico “Da Baby”, BeBe, sidekick and helper, Oreo and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
DeWayne was the owner of Assure Well Drilling since 1998 and loved his job. He loved the outdoors, having a good time and spending time with his family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel (4104 Needmore Rd.).
Family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.
