David Cecil Rhoads, 69, of Hillsboro, died Monday, April 12, 2010 at Hospice of Hope, Ohio Valley Inpatient Care Center in Seaman.
He was born June 28, 1940 in Highland County, Ohio, the son of the late Cecil Conn and Dena Belle Cluff Rhoads.
He is survived by three great-grandchildren, Sarah Rachel (Corey) Joslyn, Rebekah Brown, and Joseph Brown, all of Hillsboro; three great-great-grandchildren, Cheyanne Binegar, Airyanna Joslyn and Lauralye Joslyn; two sisters, Bonnie (Jim) Hall of Hillsboro and Karen Case of Willettsville; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Dotson, on March 25, 2010; a grandson, Kenny Brown; a great-grandson, Jody Brown; and a brother, Gary Rhoads.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, April 19 at the Hillsboro First Baptist Church. Rev. David Hansen will officiate. Friends may call on Monday from noon until 2 p.m. at the Hillsboro First Baptist Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with expenses.
