Daryl R. Vance
Daryl R. Vance, 68, of Hillsboro, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012 at the Hospice of Hope Ohio Valley Inpatient Center.
He was born in Clinton, County on March 9, 1944, the son of the late Maxine Lafferty.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Vance; his mother, Maxine Lafferty-Robbins; his dad Robert Robbins; and a son.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Vance; six children, special friends, Scott and Christy Hacker; and three grandchildren, Hunter, Shianne and Autumn Hacker.
He also is survived by two brothers, Ronnie (Delores) Vance of Arizona and David (Annette) Vance of Hillsboro; two sisters, Roberta O'Bryant of Xenia and Cheryl (Will) Marksberry of Wilmington; three nieces; nine nephews; and several great- and great-great-nieces and nephews.
He is also survived by children, Bobby (Debbie) Vance of Wilmington, LaDonna (Jon) Skaggs of New Vienna, Danny (Karen) Vance of Sabina, Lavonne (Jim) McCandless of Wilmington and Dawn (Charlie) Richards of Sabina; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013 at the Thompson Funeral Home with Pastor Shane Denny officiating. Burial will follow in the Carmel Cemetery.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
