Connie King-Sauer (Connie Lowe) of Crossville, Tenn. passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2025 with her loving family at her bedside. 

Connie is survived by Daniel Sauer, her husband of 25 years; and by her two children, a daughter, Michelle (Greg) Roberts of Cookeville, Tenn.; a son, David (Jennifer) King of Crossville, Tenn.; a daughter, Amanda (William) Haberer of Marengo, Ohio; a stepson, Matthew (Keri) Sauer of Kettering, Ohio; a sister, Jacquie (Ned) Gross of Miamisburg, Ohio; and a brother, Ed (Angie) Lowe of Jamestown, Ohio. 

Connie is also survived by her grandchildren, Tommy (Aileen) Judd of Cookeville, Tenn., Ashley Rae King of Crossville, Tenn., Chase (Kristen) Judd of Bowling Green, Ky. and David (Hannah) King Jr. of Lebanon, Tenn. She is also survived by her stepgrandchildren, Gabrielle Roberts, Grace Roberts, Katherine Roberts, Andrew Roberts and Holly Beth Roberts, all of Cookeville Tenn.; and Kylie, Kacey and Emilee Sauer, all of Kettering, Ohio; Lily (Kolby) Wright Crossville, of Tennessee and Savana Wheeler; great-grandchildren, Isaac Chandler, Lucas Ely, Hallie Rae King; and stepgreat-grandchildren, Kyler Jo Mee and Winston, Bayler and Honey Kate Wright. 

She is survived by her special niece, Jerri Meeks; nieces, Krista Reed and Whitney Maxson; nephews, Brian Gross and Cannon Lowe; and cousins, Olive Hoagland, Lori Moon, Denny Eubanks, Russ Lowe and Debora Bickford.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Ralph and June Lowe; a brother, Jerry Lowe; sister-in-law, Rheta Lowe; and nephew Scott Lowe. 

Connie graduated from Hillsboro (Ohio) High School in 1964. She graduated from Bethesda Hospital School of Nursing in Cincinnati in 1967, with a diploma in nursing and became a registered nurse shortly thereafter. She had a very diverse nursing career ranging from general hospital staff nursing, labor and delivery, teaching childbirth education, physician office nursing, numerous administrative positions within the home health care industry and served as the Regulatory Affairs Director and Health Care Lobbyist for the Tennessee Association for Home Care. She spent the last eleven years of her career as Vice President of Development for MedForms, Inc. a national home care publishing company in Nashville, Tenn.

The family would like to thank Dr. Brian Waggoner and staff, Dr. Travis Osterman and Dr. Zachary Kohutek and their staffs at Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center, Nashville Tenn., and the staff of Gentiva Hospice.  

Donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Gentiva Hospice and Samaritan Outreach. 

A celebration of life will be held at a future time.
