Clare Mossbarger Kemp, 90, of Greenfield, formerly of Irvine, Calif., died Monday, Aug. 2, 2010 at Hearth & Care of Greenfield.
She was born Sept. 10, 1919 in Greenfield, the daughter of the late E.J. and Clara (Oyer) Streitenberger.
She was a homemaker and was active in her church and senior center. She volunteered at Hogue Memorial Hospital in California. She was a 1937 graduate of Buckskin High School and a member of Irvine Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by a sister-in-law, Corinne Streitenberger of Greenfield; four nieces, Peggy (Richard) Lucas, Janie (Edward) King, Carol (Lew) Speakman, and Jo Ellen (Tim) Gossett, all of Greenfield; five nephews, Ken (Sharon) Streitenberger of Toledo, Robert (Billie) O'Dell of Chillicothe, John Perie of Hilliard, Scott (Elaine) Rasey of Lebanon, and Doug (Karen) Rasey of Dayton; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Raymond Mossbarger, who passed away Oct. 7, 1982, and Roland Kemp, who passed away Dec. 24, 2003; her daughter, Ann Elizabeth Mossbarger; a brother, Kenneth Streitenberger; three sisters, Mildred (Durward) O'Dell, Helen (John) Perie, and Marjorie (William) Rasey; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Eleanor and Robert Judkins; and niece, Beth Deuerlein.
Services will be held Saturday, Aug. 7, 2010 at Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Ken Streitenberger officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenfield Cemetery. A visitation will be held 12-2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7.
Memorial contributions may be made to the South Salem United Methodist Church, in care of Frank Wisecup, 4384 Old Westfall Road, South Salem, Ohio 45681.
