Christine M. Robbins, 87, of Hillsboro, died Monday, Oct. 11, 2010 at Heartland of Hillsboro.

She was born June 29, 1923 in Hillsboro, the daughter of the late William E. and Dorothy (Beard) McAdams. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Tom Robbins on Aug. 21, 1968; son-in-law, Edward Wilson; and two brothers Tommy McAdams and Bill McAdams. 

Christine retired from Production Credit and Federal Land Bank, sold life insurance for Modern Woodmen of America, and was the owner and operator of Christine's in Hillsboro.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Caroline Robbins of Tampa, Fla., a daughter, Dianne Wilson of Lynchburg; three grandchildren, Robyn (Gilbert) Scroggy of Clarksville, Wendy (Shawn) McClure of Hillsboro, and Mike (Michelle) Nakoff of Wilmington; three great-grandchildren, Molly Scroggy, Morgan Scroggy, and Nicholas McClure; one sister, Viola Morrow of Leesburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 15, 2010 at the Hillsboro Cemetery. 

Rev. Harold Braley will officiate. 
There will be no visitation.

Thompson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
