Charles Samuel Miller, 80, of Hillsboro, died Thursday, July 21, 2011 at the Highland District Hospital.
He was born in Fairview, N.C., on March 8, 1931, the son of the late Lewis and Serena (Sayles) Miller.
He is survived by his wife, Yvonne (Simmons) Miller, who he married on June 30, 1958; one sister and brother-in-law, Leona and James Shade of Pittsburgh, Pa.; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, David "Jr." and Mary Ruth Barr of Pricetown; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Smith and one brother, Rupert Smith.
Funeral services will be held 7 p.m. Monday, July 25, 2011 at the Thompson Funeral Home.
Friends may call Monday from 5-7 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
Burial will be held in the Hillsboro Cemetery Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at the convenience of the family.
