Charles Roger 'Tod' Jenkins
Charles Roger “Tod” Jenkins, 73, of Greenfield, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 26, 2012 at his home.
He was born on Aug. 25, 1939 in Highland County, the son of, George Edward and Cathryn (Daugherty) Jenkins.
He was retired from the London Correctional Institution and prior to that was a supervisor at Collins Meat Packing in Greenfield, was a 1957 graduate of Good Hope High School, served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, was a member of F.O.E. # 423 in Washington C.H. and # 1325 in Greenfield, American Legion Post 14, and V.F.W. Post 4736.
He is survived by his wife, Mary (Hill) Jenkins, whom he married on September 9, 1967; one son, Chris Jenkins of Greenfield; mother, Cathryn Jenkins of Washington C.H.; one sister, Mary Ellen (Danny) Sharrett of Jeffersonville; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, one of which was his twin, Robert, and Terry Jenkins; father, George Edward Jenkins.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with the Rev. Wayne Combs officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenfield Cemetery with military rites to be provided by the Highland County Honor Guard.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29 with Veterans Appreciation Service provided by the Concerned Veterans of Greenfield, and Eagles Service to begin at 8 p.m.
