Cecil M. Ayers

Cecil M. Ayers, 64, of Hillsboro, passed away Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012 at the Ohio State University Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 4, 1948, in Middlesboro, Ky., a son of the late William "Bill" and Elsie (Taylor) Ayers.
He was a member of the Southside Praise and Worship Center, and had retired from the Mad River Local Schools near Dayton after 35 years of service.
On Jan. 20, 1968, in Dayton, he married his wife of 43 years, Dorothy (Nance) Ayers, and she survives. He is also survived by three children, Monica Baucher and her husband, Daniel, Jason Ayers and his wife, Michelle, and Ethan Ayers and his wife, Beth, all of Hillsboro; seven grandchildren, Lillian Powell, Isaiah Baucher, Cody Ayers, Connor Ayers, Emma Ayers, Jimmy Ayers and Derrek Ayers; two brothers and a sister in Middlesboro Ky., and one brother in El Paso, Texas.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Robert K. Ayers; and two brothers.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Pastor Wayne Flowers will officiate. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery on Peach Orchard Road near Hillsboro. Visitation will be from 11 a.m-1 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
