Carl E. Cowman, 72, of Greenfield, died Friday, April 1, 2011 at Adena Medical Center in Chillicothe.
He was born Aug. 18, 1938 in Greenfield, the son of the late Lowery and Margaret (Willett) Cowman.
He was retired from Johnson Controls in Greenfield and served in the National Guard.
He is survived by a son, Carl E. Cowman, Jr. of Greenfield; his grandchildren, Terry J. Cowman, Carolyn Marcum, and Jason L. Cowman, all of Greenfield; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Joe Cowman of Greenfield; five sisters, Judy Cowman of Greenfield, Nellie (Joe) Bailey of Greenfield, Joellen Powell of Washington C.H., Dorothy Barber of Greenfield, and Kathy (Charlie) Hackworth of Columbus; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marie (Everetts) Cowman; three sisters, Pat, Sherry and Freda; and three brothers, Tom, Butch and Fred.
No visitation or service will be observed. Cremation will take place.
The Murray-Fettro Funeral Home of Greenfield is serving the family.
