Bruce Kevin Beatty, 53, of South Salem, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 15, at Adena Greenfield Medical Center.
He was born Aug. 20, 1958 in Greenfield, the son of Floyd and Betty (McQuay) Beatty.
He was retired from Warren County Correctional Institute in Lebanon. He was most recently owner/operator at Boo’s Fix It Shop, a member of the Buckskin Community Church of South Salem and F.O.E. #1325.
He is survived by his wife, Suzan (Jackman) Beatty whom he married on Aug. 27, 1999; one son, Adam Beatty; four daughters, Andrea (Cody Igoe) Bethel, Casey Beatty (Sean) Withrow, Courtney Bethel and Madison Beatty; one granddaughter, Baylee Woodrow; seven brothers, Marty, Raymond, Tim, Floyd Jr., Patrick, Lester and Leslie Beatty; five sisters, Candice Cottrill, Kim Brewer, Carolyn Sever, Patty Conaway and Doris Bolens; many nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Barbara Jackman; and special family friend, Amanda Beaver.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Steve Beatty; one brother-in-law, Roger Sever; father, Floyd Beatty; and mother, Betty Garrison.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Pastor Mark Current officiating and cremation to follow.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17, 2012.
