Bradley Logan Yankey, 22, of Lynchburg, died Monday, May 2, 2011.
He was born April 25, 1989, in Cincinnati, a son of Joe and Renee (Allen) Yankey, also of Lynchburg.
He loved fishing, football and soccer. He was elected Prom King and graduated in 2007 from Lynchburg-Clay High School.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandparents, Judy and Steve Giese of Deer Park, his paternal grandmother, Margaret Yankey, also of Deer Park, his paternal great grandmother, Evelyn Lois Doyle of Kenwood, a brother, Joseph “Joey” Yankey and Nina of Brown County, two nephews, Landon and Maddox “Maddy” Yankey, two uncles, Nick Giese (Alison) of Deer Park and Jerry Shively of Jackson, two great-uncles, Tom Davis of Hillsboro and Dan Boyd and Family of Cincinnati, cousins Jason and Jeremy Wood and Lisa (Steve) Tasch, all of Deer Park.
He will also be missed by countless friends, former classmates and former co-workers at DHL.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Jerry Eugene Yankey.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, May 7 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Fr. Mike Paraniuk will officiate. Friends may call from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. In keeping with his wishes, cremation will follow.
