Bonnie L. Stapleton, 72, of New Vienna, formerly of Dayton, died July 16, 2010 at Hospice of Dayton.

She was born Dec. 27, 1937 in Martin County, Ky., daughter of the late Benjamin Harvey Preece and Agnes Hall Preece.
She is survived by her son, Michael (Rachel) Stapleton of New Vienna; three granddaughters, Megan Stapleton of Ft. Wright, Ky., Hanah (Willie) Turner of Amelia, and Hanorah Campbell of New Vienna; one great-grandson, Willie Turner III; two sisters, Wanda Dauze and Nell Sloan; and three brothers, Harold Preece, Gary Preece, and William Preece.
In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Stapleton; one brother, Landon Preece; and one sister, Evelyn Mills.
Services will be held at Phelps and Son Funeral Home, Inez, Ky., Friday, July 23, 2010 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in the Mills Family Cemetery, Inez, Ky.
Friends will be received at the Phelps and Son Funeral Home Thursday, July 22, 2010.
