Bobby L. Aldridge, 74, of Hillsboro, died Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010 at his residence. 
He was born Jan. 25, 1936 in Lawrence County, the son of the late Calvin M. Aldridge and Gladys (Stumbo) Stewart of
Portsmouth. 
Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Susan Mongold; and three brothers, Donald, John and Earl Aldridge.
Bobby was a retired crane operator and was an Army veteran.
On Dec. 17, 1983, he was united in marriage to Dolly (Collins) Aldridge, who survives. He is also survived by his mother Gladys Stewart; two sons, James Calvin Aldridge of Washington C.H. and Dallas Lee Aldridge of
Columbus; one stepdaughter, Brenda (Doug) White of Hillsboro; three grandchildren, Christina Kisling of Lynchburg, Tonya (Brian) Hall of Hillsboro, and Ryan White of Hillsboro; three great-grandchildren, Kevin Mongold, Kyle Hall and Ashley Hall; two brothers, Michael (Theada) Aldridge of Portsmouth and Keith Stewart of Portsmouth; two sisters, Ginger (Gary) Gaines of Portsmouth and Linda Mart of Portsmouth; and many nieces and nephews. 
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro, with the Rev.
Randell Goble officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery with Military Graveside Rites conducted by the Highland County Honor Guard.
Friends may call Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
