Betty L. Smith, 71, of Hillsboro, died Thursday, June 9, 2011 at Highland District Hospital.
She was born Jan. 19, 1940 in Ross County, the daughter of the late Ermie and Mabel Connors Meadows.
She enjoyed crocheting.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, Jerry William Smith; son Larry Smith of Hillsboro; three grandchildren, Larry William Smith, Cheyenne Smith, and Robert Lee Smith, all of Hillsboro; sister Tootie Everhart of Waco, Texas; two brothers, George Meadows of Barnesville and Bill Meadows of Waverly; and close friends Joanne and Anthony Ward of Hillsboro.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Benjamin Smith, and three brothers, Henry, Jack and Glenn Meadows.
Visitation and funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
