November DAR meeting report

The November DAR meeting was a busy one. 

We received a $500 donation for Wreaths Across America from the First Presbyterian Church of Hillsboro. 

The $500 will allow the Waw-wil-a-way Chapter to purchase 30 wreaths for the cemetery. 

We honored high school seniors for the Good Student Essay Contest. 

A senior was chosen for their essay from each high school in the county. Each participant received a certificate.  

The winner was Marley Gobin from Whiteoak High School, who will also receive a scholarship.

Dale Zornes was honored for his work at past (and probably future) Wreaths Across America delivery and removal.  

Several members received certificates for years of membership.
