Ohio Department of Agriculture encourages Ohioans to shop locally for cookout supplies
REYNOLDSBURG – This summer, the Ohio Department of Agriculture (ODA) encourages Ohioans to shop locally when purchasing their cookout supplies.
Whether you’re firing up the grill to celebrate America 250 or simply inviting neighbors over for a backyard dinner, Ohio Proud products offer unique, locally made flavors that elevate every moment.
Created in 1993, Ohio Proud is ODA's marketing program that identifies and promotes food and agriculture products that are made or grown in Ohio. When you see the Ohio Proud logo, you know you are supporting Ohio producers.
“I am encouraging all Ohioans to look for the Ohio Proud logo while shopping for their summer gatherings,” said ODA Director Brian Baldridge. “It’s a simple way to ensure our agriculture communities remain strong and support Ohio farmers and producers who work hard every day to bring fresh, quality foods to our table.”
With a few ingredients, you can curate an Ohio Proud celebration that brings your community together, while uplifting the families who work to make “farm to table” a reality for all of us.
From fresh meats, fruits, and vegetables to dairy products and snack foods, you can find Ohio Proud products in your favorite grocery store and at your local farmer's market. Visit the Ohio Proud website for more creative recipes and hosting ideas.
