Judge Ron Lewis addresses Highland County Republican Party at annual Lincoln Day Dinner

Judge Ron Lewis, 2nd District Court of Appeals judge and candidate for Ohio Supreme Court, joined the Highland County Republican Party for their Lincoln-Reagan Dinner on Monday evening. 

Judge Lewis gave remarks to the large crowd, which included information about his background as a former prosecutor and trial judge, as well as his upbringing on his family farm. Lewis has spent nearly 30 years in Ohio's legal system, but the values that have guided him as a judge were developed as a young man working as both a hog farmer and in the family construction business. 

Lewis released the following statement after the Party's annual fundraiser:

"I was extremely grateful for the opportunity to speak to the Highland County Republican Party last night. The race for Ohio Supreme Court is an important one for the future of Ohio and it was a privilege to make my case for my candidacy. 

Growing up on the farm and working in the family construction business taught me the values of hard work and honesty, which guide me as a judge today. My breadth of experience, both as a seasoned attorney and as a farmer, makes me the best candidate to represent everyday Ohioans on our state's highest court. 

I appreciate Chairman Paulette Donley's invitation to participate and the warm welcome from so many friends in Hillsboro." 

Judge Ron Lewis currently lives in Xenia on the family where he was raised. He currently serves on the 2nd District Court of Appeals, but previously served on the Xenia Municipal Court and as prosecutor for municipalities throughout the Miami Valley.

Judge Lewis is married with four children and still farms while not serving the people of his district as an appellate judge.
