Greenfield woman gets 5 years in Fayette County cases

A Greenfield woman was sentenced recently to five years in prison after pleading guilty to a combined three charges from two cases in Fayette County Common Pleas Court.

According to a press release from the Fayette County Prosecutor’s Office, Bobbi Jo Munyan, 43, was sentenced Sept. 2 “to 60 months in prison for the offenses of tampering with evidence, illegal conveyance of prohibited items (narcotics) into a detention facility and failure to appear. 

“Munyan was originally charged in 2024 after narcotics were located during the change out process at the Fayette County Jail. After removing them from inside her person, she attempted to swallow them, which jail personnel were able to prevent.

“After being charged, Munyan posted bond and then failed to appear for her trial. She was then picked up earlier this year in Highland County and sentenced to prison for a felony five drug offense there. The Fayette County sentence will run consecutively to her sentence in Highland County.”

Munyan was sentenced in June to nine months in prison on a fifth-degree felony charge of aggravated possession of methamphetamine. She was admitted into the Ohio Reformatory for Women June 16.
