The Highland District Hospital Foundation is pleased to share the success of its annual golf outing, held on Friday, June 12 at Buckeye Hills Country Club.
The event welcomed 28 teams and numerous community supporters who came together for a day of camaraderie, friendly competition, and giving back. Proceeds from the outing will support local healthcare programs and initiatives that benefit patients throughout our community.
The event generated over $17,000 gross profit through the support of dedicated participants, sponsors, and volunteers.
"We are grateful for the tremendous support shown by our community," said Erin Richmond, Foundation Manager. "The golf outing is about much more than a day on the course. It is an opportunity for friends of the hospital to come together in support of quality healthcare for our community. The funds raised help ensure Highland District Hospital can continue providing exceptional care close to home."
This year's tournament featured outstanding competition, with the following teams earning top honors:
First Place: Union Stock Yards Team - Travis Wehrung, Tim Hagan, Greg Waggoner and Ryan Hagan;
Second Place: Restoration Wellness – Dylan Hunter, Ben Hunter, Haylee Wehrung and Adam King; and
Third Place: Merchants Bank – Logan Lesley, Jake DeHart, Chase Gilliland and Jack DeHart.
“This event would not be possible without the generosity of our sponsors, golfers, volunteers, and community partners,” Richmond said. “We are especially thankful for the more than 20 volunteers – including Highland District Hospital employees and Foundation Board members – who generously shared their time and talents to help plan, organize, and support the event.”
Richmond also recognized Southern Hills Community Bank for volunteering and providing the cocktail table during the outing.
“The commitment of our volunteers, along with the ongoing support of local businesses and community members, is instrumental in helping us enhance healthcare services and improve the well-being of individuals and families throughout Highland County,” Richmond added.
