Congressman Taylor applauds passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Dave Taylor (OH-02) released this statement following the passage of The One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which passed the House today by a vote of 218-214.

“Today, I voted in support of an America-First bill that will enact the largest tax cuts for families in American history. President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill will not only cut Ohio families' taxes, it will rein in waste, fraud, and abuse, secure our Nation’s borders, and put American interests first.

I’m pleased to say that provisions of my USA CAR Act were included in this bill, which I partnered on with Senator Moreno to create a tax credit for the purchase of American-made vehicles. This will keep money in taxpayers’ pockets while incentivizing American manufacturing and the growth of local jobs. By passing this bill, President Trump and Republicans have put our nation on the path to a New Golden Age and will Make America Great Again.

The One Big Beautiful Bill will benefit families, farmers, and seniors in southern Ohio and I am happy to watch it head to President Trump’s desk to be signed into law.”

Congressman David Taylor represents Ohio’s Second Congressional District, which includes Clermont, Clinton, Pike, Adams, Brown, Highland, Ross, Scioto, Pickaway, Hocking, Vinton, Jackson, Lawrence, Gallia, and Meigs counties, as well as part of Fayette County. Taylor serves on the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure and the House Agriculture Committee. Prior to serving in Congress, Taylor worked as an assistant prosecutor for Clermont County before joining his family’s concrete business, where he ultimately served as President.
