Bright Local School District unveils strategic planning efforts
By Jason Iles
Superintendent
Bright Local School District
I am writing to share some exciting news from Bright Local Schools regarding our recent strategic planning efforts.
Over the past several months, our district has been engaged in a comprehensive process to update our mission and goals in alignment with our commitment to excellence for our students and community. Through a series of meetings involving a diverse group of stakeholders, including administrators, teachers, parents, community members, and students, we have collectively shaped the future direction of Bright Local Schools.
I am proud to announce that our updated mission statement reflects our core values and priorities: "Bright Local values every family, each student, and all minds every day. We are committed to the continuous growth, achievement, and well-being of our students, staff and community. Bright Local Schools EVERY STUDENT, EVERY DAY."
In addition to refining our mission, we have identified three top priorities that will guide our efforts moving onward and upward:
• Facilities: We will maintain, improve, and expand our facilities with flexibility to support the continuous growth of our students, families, and community.
• Academic Rigor: We will provide access to challenging curriculums with interventions to engage and empower all students in a forever changing, diverse world.
• Parental Involvement and Increased Student Participation in School-Related Activities: We are committed to accommodating caregivers' and students' barriers to enhance participation in school-related activities and events. By addressing these challenges, we aim to create a more inclusive and engaging environment.
I want to express my sincere gratitude to all the members who contributed to the work of the committee. Their dedication and insights have been invaluable in shaping our strategic priorities and ensuring that Bright Local Schools continue to thrive.
