COLUMBUS — The Ohio Republican Party State Central Committee today re-elected Alex M. Triantafilou as Chairman of the Ohio Republican Party for a four-year term. The vote came during the Committee's reorganizational meeting at ORP Headquarters in Columbus.
The State Central Committee also elected the Party's full slate of officers to serve alongside the Chairman:
• Vice Chairman: Meredith Freedhoff (District 16);
• Secretary: Tony Schroeder (District 1);
• Treasurer: Diane Redden (District 7); and
• Assistant Treasurer: Gary James (District 19).
Triantafilou and the new slate of officers return to lead the Party heading into one of the most consequential election cycles in Ohio's recent history. In November, Ohio Republicans will work to elect Vivek Ramaswamy as the next Governor of Ohio and Jon Husted to the United States Senate, along with a strong slate of statewide, congressional, and local candidates.
Today's vote of confidence from the State Central Committee charges Triantafilou with leading the Party's organization, fundraising, and grassroots operation across all 88 counties for the next four years.
“I am humbled by the trust of the State Central Committee and ready to get right back to work," Triantafilou said. "The 2026 midterms will decide who fights for Ohio in Columbus and in Washington. Our job is clear. We are going to elect Vivek Ramaswamy as Governor, send Jon Husted to the United States Senate, and stand with Republicans up and down the ballot in every one of Ohio's 88 counties.”
