Both the McClain varsity and junior varsity volleyball teams won the annual Spike & Dig tournament to open the 2023 season on Saturday, Aug. 19 held at Hillsboro High School.
The varsity Lady Tigers defeated Whiteoak in the first match (14-25, 15-25).
In the championship match, McClain won against Hillsboro in two sets (16-25 and 22-25).
The varsity Lady Tigers are coached by Taylor Alsop.
The junior varsity team defeated Whiteoak in the first match (25-11, 25-19).
In the championship match, the Lady Tigers defeated Lynchburg-Clay (25-22, 25-17).
The junior varsity Lady Tigers are coached by Kyndall Penwell.
