McClain Lady Tigers fall in sectional semifinals to Circleville

After winning in the sectional quarterfinals of the Division II SE District Tournament, the McClain Lady Tigers traveled to Circleville and saw their ’23 season come to a close.

The Lady Tigers of Circleville defeated McClain in three straight sets on their home court by scores of 25-4, 25-10 and 25-12.

The loss leaves McClain 1-1 this postseason, as they wrap up the season with an overall record of 13-10. In Frontier Athletic Conference play for the ‘23 season, MHS finished 5-5, fourth place in the FAC.

This year, the MHS Lady Tigers were 7-3 at home, 4-6 on the road and 2-1 at neutral sites.

Three times this season McClain won three consecutive matches, and their postseason win was at home on Saturday, Oct. 14 against River Valley in three straight sets.

Seniors for McClain are: Reagan Wisecup, Harley Peabody and Lily Barnes.
