Lynchburg-Clay, Fairfield earn Div. III Southeast District championships

Highland County girls soccer has two district champions, as both Lynchburg-Clay and Fairfield earned Division III Southeast District titles Thursday night.
Lynchburg-Clay defeated North Adams, 2-0, while Fairfield won in overtime over Minford, 2-1.
This is the Lady Mustangs’ fifth consecutive SE District title, while the Lady Lions earned their first district championship in program history.
The two teams will now face each other Tuesday, Oct. 31 at 7 p.m. at Zane Trace in a regional semifinal.
