Thanks to those who supported Belfast Community Center

To the editor:
As one of the volunteers of the Belfast Community Center, I would like to take this time to thank everyone who ever came out to show your support in one way or another. From the time you took to visit a flea market, car show, auctions, or any event that we held to raise the money that was going for the upkeep of the center.
I would like to apologize to those of you who paid for a meal, booth rental to help us with the upkeeps – now that we have been forced out of the center by our township trustees, because, well, I'm not sure why. First there was no money for the upkeep and the utilities of the building, but now they are closing because of what they say is renovations.
Who knows where the money is coming from. I would also like to thank the one man who says he will donate all the materials and money and time to replace the roof
on the building.
I would also like to commend the 8- and 9-year-olds who are going to do all the painting in the building. You are either really disciplined or your troop masters have
tremendous patience, 8- and 9-year-old boys are usually not into spending endless Saturdays and Sundays painting an old building that is not going to be used.
And to those elected officers: One word for you – elected. That's what you are.
Sincerely,
Veronica Brown
