Thanks to those who made local benefit a success

To the editor:
The David Cokonougher benefit was a great success. Crowds of people came in throughout the evening. Over 300 hundred people stopped by.
Dumbfounded, a Greenfield area rock band, entertained most of the evening with the help of Pokey's DJ. They are a local Greenfield band that played a variety of music. Thanks so much for being there for us.
Food was served that was donated by many good friends and family. There was also an auction, auctioneered by Brandon Barton and family. Almost everything was donated from local and nearby businesses.
Friends also brought crafts and baskets. Raffles and a 50/50 drawing continued throughout the evening.
We would like to give a special thanks to Dawn Beatty, Janet Branson, Sharon Martin, Erin Hinkle, and Missy Olaker for their time organizing and running the benefit; the Eagles Lodge for their generosity, and to their employees; and to all the people who stepped in and volunteered to help throughout the evening.
We didn't realize we had so many people that cared this much. This evening helped with medical expenses that have already accrued and for some that are still to follow. Again, thanks for everything. It means a lot to us knowing that the people of Greenfield and surrounding towns can be so kind when something like this happens.
Sincerely,
Dave and Karen Cokonougher[[In-content Ad]]
