Highland County Children Services seeks donations for Christmas gifts

To the editor: Once again the Highland County Children Services Board is planning our annual Christmas Drive to match sponsors with children and families whom the agency is currently providing services. We are in need of volunteers to sponsor a child or family either by purchasing "Wish List" gifts or giving contributions. Last year, we served 81 children and 12 families. Large or small, all contributions will be appreciated. Donations to the Children's Gift Fund in excess of the holiday gift needs will fund special needs for agency children throughout the year and will enhance the quality of life for children in our foster care programs. Your participation in this year's Christmas for Children is highly valued and greatly appreciated. Please remember that donations are tax deductible. Volunteers for "Wish Lists" or contributions should contact 393-3111 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. by Dec. 1, if possible. Please drop off your gift at the agency by Friday, Dec. 4 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. We are located at 117 East Main Street, Hillsboro. If you have any questions, please contact Katie Ross at 393-3111, ext. 109. Anyone interested in donating money should make checks payable to Highland County Children Services Board and mail them to our address. We would like to thank you for your continued generosity and may your holidays be bright and your heart be warmed by knowing you have helped children and their families in need. Sincerely, Highland County Children Services[[In-content Ad]]
