Singles play leads to Indians tennis win

It was a South Central Ohio League win for the Hillsboro Indians Tuesday as they defeated the Clinton-Massie Falcons, 3-2 at HHS.

The Indians swept the singles events with Reese Leibreich defeating Sam Gailliot, 6-1, 6-0 in first singles.

Alex Rhoads won a close second singles match against Nick Ratliff. Rhoads lost the first set at 3-6 but rallied for set wins of 6-2 and 7-6 (tiebreaker of 7-3).

In third singles, Patrick Shanahan defeated Adam Brausch with scores of 6-3, 3-6, 6-3.

In first doubles, Ryan Palmer and Zach Basford (HHS) lost to Joe Leach and Sam Leach by scores of 1-6, 0-6.

Second doubles had Sawyer Davis and Brendan Eltzroth (HHS) fall to Reese Brown and Nate Meyers at 6-2, 2-6, 5-7.
