HHS Athletic Boosters host successful gala

 The eighth Hillsboro High School Athletic Boosters Gala was "a huge success," according to Sandy Shoemaker, Athletic Boosters treasurer.

Nearly $15,000 was raised for the Athletic Boosters' fund to equip the new track, and the Boosters received over $3,000 to go directly to the track facility fund.

Everyone was a winner, as each of the 300 ticket holders won a prize donated by the local community.

The winner of the grand prize of $10,000 was Leah McConnaughey, pictured after the event with her son, Ezra.

The Hillsboro Athletic Boosters Club Gala Committee would like to thank everyone who bought a ticket and especially everyone who donated a prize.
