Senator Brown announces funds to improve lighting at county airport

U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced that new federal resources were awarded to the Highland County Airport Authority & County Commissioners to remove obstructions and improve lighting surrounding the runway at the Highland County Airport.

“As one of the region’s reliable airports, the Highland County Airport is vital to keeping commerce and recreational aviation alive in the region,” Brown said. “This funding will ensure that air passengers can travel safely in Highland County.”

The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration awarded $223,705 to improve safety and efficiency at the airport.[[In-content Ad]]
