Portman adds Southwest Ohio District director

U.S. Senator Rob Portman (R-Ohio) has announced that he has selected Connie Laug to be his Southwest Ohio District Director.
“I’m excited to add Connie to our very talented team,” said Portman. “She’s a real Greater Cincinnati community leader. Her organizational and management skills, knowledge of important Southwest Ohio issues and vast network of contacts throughout the area will help us advance our pro growth jobs agenda. Connie’s leadership skills and Southwest Ohio expertise will help us in our efforts to grow Ohio’s economy.”
"I am honored to have this opportunity to work for Senator Portman, and join such a high caliber team of dedicated public servants,” said Laug. “I look forward to serving the people of Southwest Ohio as a liaison to the Senator and his staff and to help him foster job creation and economic growth throughout Ohio."
Laug has served as a member of the leadership team for the law firm of Graydon Head in Cincinnati in various capacities, including chief marketing officer, chief quality officer and client services director, all with an emphasis on customer service and external affairs. She also served as president of Client Insight, LLC, consulting with organizations and focusing on maximizing the use of client insights to drive innovation and to address strategic planning, marketing, organizational development and staffing issues.
Her experience in politics and government includes work as a communications specialist with the Republican National Committee and as an advisor and volunteer to political candidates from Southwest Ohio.
Laug has volunteered and held leadership positions with many non-profit organizations and professional associations including the Karen Wellington Memorial Foundation for LIVING with Breast Cancer. She also served as chair of the Corporate Leadership Council for Cincinnati Children's Hospital, co-chair of the promotions committee for the YWCA, Career Women of Achievement and on the President's Committee and Women Excel Leadership Team for the Cincinnati USA Chamber.
An active Rotarian, Laug has served on various committees including strategic planning and nominating committees.[[In-content Ad]]
