Pictorial history on display at Community Markets in Greenfield

Greenfield historian George Foltz is pictured by a recent display of local historical photographs at Greenfield's Community Markets on Jefferson Street.
Foltz donated the prints, that include Johnny Paycheck photos, McClain High School reunion photos, the Baltimore and Ohio Railway, the Detroit, Toledo and Ironton Railway – which was purchased by Henry Ford in 1920 – and other photos and stories.
The display was framed and mounted on the Community Markets' coffee shop wall by store manager Ray Roberts.
"These were stories and photos that I've collected and saved over the years and wanted to share them with the community," Foltz said.
Stop by Community Markets and view the display during the 2011 Greene Countrie Towne Festival, sponsored by the Greenfield Rotary Club.
The annual festival will be July 15-17, and Foltz has donated autographed photos of Johnny Paycheck, courtesy of Loveland attorney Thomas Tepe, to be auctioned by the Greenfield Rotary.
