Obama approval rating dips to all-time low

President Obama’s approval rating has dropped to an all-time low, now below 40 percent, according to a Gallup poll, conducted Aug. 11-13.
The poll was released Sunday and showed only 39 percent of Americans approve of Obama’s performance, with 54 percent of Americans disapproving of the president.
In his weekly radio address Aug. 13, the president acknowledged there's work to be done.
"We’ve still got a long way to go to get to where we need to be," Obama said. "We didn’t get into this mess overnight, and it’s going to take time to get out of it. That’s a hard truth – but it’s no excuse for inaction. After all, America voted for divided government, not dysfunctional government, and we’ve got work to do. And when we come together and find common ground, there’s no stopping this country."
