Loveland woman charged in 2 separate Highland County cases sentenced to community control
A Loveland woman was sentenced last week to community control after pleading guilty to felony charges in two separate Highland County Common Pleas Court cases.
As previously reported, Robinson, 53, was indicted by a Highland County grand jury in September and charged with illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto the grounds of a specified governmental facility, a third-degree felony; and aggravated possession of methamphetamine, a fifth-degree felony. She was later indicted in January on one count of failure to appear, a fourth-degree felony.
Robinson pleaded guilty to the conveyance charge and the failure to appear charge in May, with the possession charge dismissed, according to court records.
A bill of particulars alleges that in April 2023, Robinson was arrested on a misdemeanor theft charge and transported to the Highland County Justice Center. During the intake process, it was determined that Robinson had a “plastic baggie” filled with a “white powdered rock substance,” which later tested positive for meth, in her possession.
The failure to appear charge was a result of the previous case, as it is alleged that Robinson “failed to appear at a pretrial hearing on Dec. 13, 2023” in Highland County Common Pleas Court.
During a hearing June 20, Judge Rocky Coss sentenced Robinson to three years of community control and ordered her to successfully complete substance use disorder treatment and recommended aftercare.
