Hillsboro man arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia

On Sept. 23 at approximately 8:01 p.m., an officer from the Hillsboro Police Department went to 103 Tower Drive in an attempt to locate a subject that had an outstanding warrant out of the Hillsboro Municipal Court.
Brian S. Reffitt answered the door and when the door was opened, a very strong odor of marijuana came from within the residence. As the officer entered the residence, Reffitt stated two females had run out of the back door with drugs prior to the officer's arrival. The women were later identified as Deb Griffith and Cindy Bray, both of Hillsboro.
After checking all three subjects, Charles Fordyce, Matthew Hall and Reffitt, for any outstanding warrants with the Hillsboro Police Dispatch, it was found that Reffitt had a warrant out of the Wilmington Police Department. Reffitt was placed under arrest and concealed on his person were drug paraphernalia and one pair of brass knuckles.
Reffitt, 44, has been charged with two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and one count of carrying a concealed weapon and is to appear in Hillsboro Municipal Court on Monday, Sept. 26 at 8 a.m. Reffitt was later transported to the Clinton County Jail due to his outstanding warrant.[[In-content Ad]]
