Highland County Junior Fair queen contest set for Sept. 3

The Highland County Junior Fair queen contest will be held Sept. 3, 2011 prior to the start of the Highland County Fair. Any girl who is a member of a Junior Fair organization, age 15-19, may apply.

Contestants will be judged on achievement, personality, appearance and poise and must present a 3-5 minute oral presentation on the Junior Fair theme, "Fun Times, Lots of Rides and Family Pride." Applications may be picked up in the Extension office, 119 Governor Foraker Place.

All applications are due to be returned to Jean Fawley by the deadline of Friday, Aug. 19, 2011. No late applications will be accepted.
