Dear Tom, Shane and Jeremy,
It is with regret that I offer my resignation as the Clerk of the Highland County Board of Commissioners. I accepted the position of Administrative Assistant to the Mayor of Hillsboro effective January 17, 2012. This letter documents my verbal resignation given on January 3, 2012.
Since 2001, I have taken great pride in serving the Board of Commissioners, and in 2009, I was honored to become your clerk. My experience working for Highland County has been rewarding and enriching, and I will always remember this time with warm feelings for the people I worked with and the public I served.
I ask that you accept my resignation knowing that I offer it with bittersweet emotion: reluctance to leave my comfort-zone of treasured and colleagues and anticipation of a new and exciting adventure.
