Board of Realtors distributes food to needy families

Members of the Highland County Board of Realtors and their affiliates teamed up with the FreeStore Food Bank and Highland County Community Action this week for a food distribution to area families in need of assistance.

Some of the volunteers at this community service project included: Josh Patton, Mindy Lee, LaTosha Benner, Brynna Boone, Rhonda Howard, Joe Mahan, Kim Boyer, Risa Boone and Brad Barber.

HCCAO Director of Emergency Services Christi Hauke said this was one of the largest turnouts for a food truck – and on one of the hottest days of the year, as temperatures reached 96 degrees on June 8.[[In-content Ad]]
