Ohio Farm Bureau, Press Release

Ohio Farm Bureau is accepting applications for AgriPOWER Class XVII, a leadership and advocacy development program designed to equip Ohio agriculture’s rising leaders with the skill, knowledge and connections needed to strengthen their communities and advance the industry.

AgriPOWER is a 12-month, cohort-based leadership program for farmers and agribusiness professionals. The program consists of seven multiday institutes, totaling 18 days of hands-on learning, professional development and industry engagement. Two of the sessions will be held out of state (one in Washington, D.C., and the other location will be decided at a later date) to help class members gain a valuable understanding of national and global issues.

Through the education and engagement of the AgriPOWER program, the group of Ohio agriculture’s rising leaders will be able to:

• Leverage strengths to maximize individual influence in leadership opportunities

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, consumers and policymakers

• Explain current issues in food, agriculture and the environment

• Outline the legislative process at the state and federal levels

• Create strong personal networks within and beyond Ohio agriculture.

Individuals may self-nominate or be nominated by a county Farm Bureau, an agricultural organization or their employer. For complete application information, session schedules, and details on tuition and scholarship opportunities, visit ofbf.org/agripower.

Applications for AgriPOWER Class XVII are due Aug. 1, 2026.
