American Carbon Alliance applauds reintroduction of the Farm to Fly Act
The American Carbon Alliance (ACA) praised the reintroduction of the bipartisan Farm to Fly Act, legislation aimed at advancing the development and use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).
The bill, led by Sens. Jerry Moran (R-Kan.), Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.), Tammy Duckworth (D-Ill.), Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), seeks to strengthen partnerships between the agriculture and aviation sectors to accelerate the production of SAF, ensuring both environmental and economic benefits.
“SAF represents a game-changer for America’s agricultural and energy sectors,” said Tom Buis, CEO of the American Carbon Alliance. “This legislation will go a long way in helping to open critical new markets for farmers and benefit rural America.”
The Farm to Fly Act emphasizes the role of innovation and collaboration in creating a sustainable energy future. By bolstering SAF development, the legislation addresses key challenges in reducing aviation emissions while supporting American farmers, ethanol producers and the broader agricultural economy.
