HCRTA to host teacher and administrator pre-retirement planning meeting

An informational retirement planning meeting will be held Thursday, Oct. 24 at 4 p.m. in the Hillsboro Elementary School Library. This meeting is for teachers and administrators who are considering retirement in the next two to five years.

The meeting, sponsored by Highland County Retired Teachers Association, will be presented by Tamla Cole, STRS Assistant Director, Member Engagement & Outreach.

In the meeting, you will learn what steps you need to take to be prepared for the retirement process. During this in-person meeting, we will:

• Walk you through key elements of the Service Retirement Application;

• Review your plan of payment options;

• Discuss STRS Ohio Health Care Program options; and

• Address the retirement process and important timelines.

Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions as well as receive helpful resource materials. Snacks will be provided. We look forward to seeing you.
