Hazardous weather advisory issued

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather advisory for southern and central Ohio.

A mix of rain and snow is expected to move into the area Saturday evening and continue into early Sunday, with some light snow accumulation possible. Some uncertainty remains in the forecast regarding exact timing and amounts. 

Additionally, wintry precipitation will be possible again Monday night into Tuesday. Additional snow accumulation will be possible during this time.

Forecast

Tonight – Partly cloudy, with a low around 22. West wind around 11 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph.

Friday – Mostly sunny, with a high near 34. West wind 10 to 13 mph.

Friday Night – Mostly clear, with a low around 18. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Saturday – A slight chance of snow after 1 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 37.

Saturday Night – Rain, possibly mixed with snow, becoming all rain after 4 a.m. Low around 29. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Sunday – Rain likely, mainly before 1 p.m. Cloudy, with a high near 41. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Sunday Night – Mostly cloudy, with a low around 21.

Monday – Mostly cloudy, with a high near 33.

Monday Night – A chance of snow after 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 23. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Tuesday – A chance of snow. Partly sunny, with a high near 33. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Tuesday Night – Partly cloudy, with a low around 16.
