Adelynn Marple, seventh grader at Greenfield Middle School, and Bailey and Brooklyn Raike, third graders at Greenfield Elementary, recently competed in the 2023 Cincinnati Reds Baseball/Softball Skills Champions Day at Great American Ball Park.

On Sunday, Sept. 24, they competed against other top scorers in their grade age bracket, where Adelynn finished first overall for her age group and Bailey and Brooklyn placed first and second overall.

Over 1,200 boys and girls ages 6 to 14 participated in the 12th summer of the Cincinnati Reds Baseball and Softball Camps. During camp, each player competed in a skills competition consisting of batting, fielding and running skills. At the conclusion of the summer, the top 10 finishers in each age category competed at Champions Day at Great American Ball Park.

Adelynn, Bailey and Brooklyn qualified for Champions Day when they attended Reds Camp at Unioto High School in Chillicothe, May 29-June 4.

“Addy, Bailey and Brooklyn are good athletes and terrific young women who really performed well under the pressure of being on the field at Great American Ball Park,” commented Tyler Wells, Reds Camp Executive Director.
