On Oct. 2, the Fairfield FFA hosted its annual Farm Safety Day. The elementary students were invited down to the agriculture classrooms to visit the many exhibits and learn about safety.

The elementary students were able to see animal exhibits that included chickens, ducks, turkeys, goats, sheep and beef cattle. While at these exhibits, the students learned about the animals and how to be around these animals safely.

There were also a combine, semi-truck, side by side and several tractors onsite, with FFA members demonstrating how each piece of equipment works and ways to be safe around them.

In addition, the elementary students visited the FFA’s greenhouse, where they did an activity about plant germination.
