Both Fairfield teams fall to Clinton-Massie

The Fairfield Lions were unable to fend off the Clinton-Massie Falcons Saturday afternoon (Aug. 26), falling by a 5-1 score.

Fairfield’s lone goal was scored by Daniel Ward, with the assist going to Grant Baker.

For the game, FHS totaled 10 shots.

Fairfield keeper Carson Jenkins totaled two saves, and keeper Zane Matthews had four saves.

In the girls match, the Lady Lions lost their non-conference game to CMHS by a 1-0 score.

FHS keeper Claire Newkirk totaled two saves.

The Lady Lions had 22 total shots, with 10 shots on goal.

The FHS boys are 3-4 overall, while the Fairfield girls team is 4-1 overall.

Next for both Fairfield teams are away games at Westfall on Thursday, Aug. 31 with the girls at 5:30 p.m. and the boys to follow at 7:30 p.m.
