Hillsboro High School volleyball teams will hold their annual "Volley for the Cure" game on Oct. 4. The Lady Indians will be taking on the Greenfield McClain Tigers. The varsity game will start at 6:15 p.m. Teams are asking the crowd to "paint" the stands pink and show their support in the fight against breast cancer and bring awareness to this worthy cause.

The McClain Lady Tiger golf team were winners Monday over the Madison-Plains Lady Golden Eagles by 26 strokes, for a 196-222 at Locust Hills Golf Course for a South Central Ohio League win

The McClain Lady Tigers won Monday evening against the Peebles Lady Indians in three straight games, for a non-league win at their home court.

The Hillsboro Lady Indians returned to the golf course and gained another win this season, defeating the Zane Trace Lady Pioneers 180-237 at the Running Fox Golf Course in Chillicothe.

The Fairfield boys cross-country team ran at the Mason Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 10, held at Corwin-Nixon Park.

Saturday's Ambassador Cross-Country meet belonged to Hillsboro's Collin Rothwell as he finished in first place with a time of 18:18.8. His time was 40 seconds better than that of the second-place runner.
